Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in the programming language C.
- 5 years of experience with developing on embedded operating systems (e.g., Android, iOS, Linux, etc.).
- 5 years experience in Linux, Embedded Processors, Embedded Systems, Devices
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects.
- 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in building consumer electronics with the knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, and customer support processes.
- Experience with Linux development environment and git/gerrit tools.
- Experience with developing in coreboot, Zephyr OS, or other open-source projects.
- Experience in bringing up USB-C stack, sensors and other peripherals.
- Knowledge of ARM or x86 assembly, system BIOS, Linux kernel, device drivers.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Set and communicate team priorities that support the organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Set clear expectations with a person based on their level and role and aligned to the organization's goals. Meet with teammates to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
- Develop the technical goals and roadmap within the scope of teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Design and guide systems designs within the scope of the area, and write product or system development code to solve problems.
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
