I am not sure I think I am playing in ch 8 but I just had a dik moring at the table thing and for some reason the mc asks one of three questions I think. and get some feed back from the others and john boy lady ... then there was some flashes of the current girls you are in too. followed by the who to pick thing... I think where I am is the last chance to pick someone before they are locked... or something. because it would not have asked me to choose other wise... I am still up in the air about who to pick ... on one hand there's josey and maya then there sage followed by jill or bella I don't know much about each of them except maya and josey I think only work with neutrual rep I think sage works with dik rep and jill or bella you need chick rep. but because I like cheats I use the mod for this game and can lower or increase my rep ... so far that's the main love girls I think... but I don't know if by using the mod you get locked or not so far it works ... and I got a last choice mod all girls. so I don't know if I will still get locked or not?
Yes, this is a lock-in (or lock-out) point. Choose your girl here (or girls, in Josy/Maya's case) or make a save point and pick all of them individually on their own saves. Don't pick the mod choice "all girls" though, because that doesn't work and will fuck up going forwards because it's impossible to have more than one of these options on the same save.

I don't know why the mod hasn't been amended to remove the "pick all" choice, since it doesn't work...

An actual "maybe" as a choice shows that he doesn't want to return to Zoey right now, while at the same time indicating that he isn't as committed to current relationship. Bad on both sides.

But how is that decision something you can just make? The MC just learned that Zoey loves him but he is happy in his relationship and he has been drinking. It makes more sense to me that they talk it out another day when both are sober and the MC has time to process it.

Well for one, they might not be able to do it sober. Then maybe it'll depend on Zoey's affinity: CHICK is more understanding, probably open to tabling the talk for another day. DIK not so much. There's also the issue of branching, and kicking the can down the road some more ever since Zoey ran away from the BBQ.

It just feels like a now or never moment.

SOLVED - Never mind, silly me, worked it out, you just need to click on the lid once solved.

Hi,

Need some help with the puzzle box in the first free roam in episode 11.

I have followed the fan-made guide (there is no way I'd have worked out the puzzles without that) and it all goes well until the last step.

I have successfully opened all the sides, with the last being side 4. This suggests that you need to spell the word 'OPEN' on side 1.

I do that, press the button on Side 1 then go to side 4 and press the button, I get an unlocking sound but the puzzle remains open and other than the unlock sound there is no indication that the puzzle has been completed. The button on side 4 is now locked, can't be pressed again, which suggests it has solved, but the promised '2x Special Renders' do not appear and also, solving the puzzle box remains in the task list as if it hasn't been completed.

Any ideas?

Check the Official walkthrough. I assume that would have the solution in it.

EDIT: I don't think it's in the OP yet - here's the link.

Where is the game set. Like I think its in the US or a US analogue based on the language and word choice as well as the frat styling, vehicles, etc. I just don't know regionally where it would be. Unless I missed a very straightforward remark that explained as much.
US... but kinda fictional of course. San Diego is where Zoey is going too. So it is the USA. For where B&R is located. As i said, its fictional, but MC talks about the fact that Zoey was heading to the "West Coast" so its clearly kinda far away from that but still managable by train, so nto the east coast. In the last two episodes it got cold outside with snow and they went even skiing... its not that cold mostly at that time in the US with lots of snow other than the Northside... That much Snow in early december (before Christmas)? Not that common either. Has to be more in the North... pretty far away from the west coast but still reachable by train within a days ride, more North than south, some Mountains too and ski-resorts not that far away and its just a assumption (like everything regarding this topic) but the ocean is not near either... Wyoming maybe? Could be a good fit for all those criterias.

But i say it again, the setting is more fictional than based on a real location...

I think Being a DIK is set in Springfield :KEK:

Well technically no, since she asks that off her path as well, and there's no real variable attached to it that implies something for her path. But it's an excellent and perfectly natural opportunity to be alone with her :sneaky:
I like it because it's natural. You do well in the class (mini-game), she wants to talk to you after class/later. (Not sure if this works with mini-games off, but I'm assuming you always do well in your classes if it is.) She's also been watching you, like she would all her students, and knows you're doing most of the work with Sally.

No silly variable checks or +'s, as far as I know. Do well on experiment, get opportunity. (Of course this could've also been for after class remedial lessons, if you do poorly, as well.) This is a simple setup for a teacher-student relationship scenario, which I don't think was done before (unless you're thinking Jade going for the groin was simple...)

And it could amount to nothing. Hopefully, if so, at best, about your future and academic interests, which chemical engineering seems to be the only thing the MC is into. Which would imply more lab partners, like Cinderella, Derek, Sally, and others. And more lab reports, study sessions, etc.

(Because let's face it. Gender studies tests were stupid. And all other tests were by yourself.)

She always asks if you are interested even if you do badly.

If you do not have mini games activated then the result in chemistry will be bad if you are DIK or good if you are not.
